Walk off the winter blues with Jules

Lol.. It was one of those days when I went out to the bin and ran straight back indoors shivering... But not one to sit indoors and be apathetic, I got myself motivated, brewed some coffee for the flask and put my coat on. I didn't regret it. The sun came out and it actually turned out warm despite the strong winds. I have tried to cut out some of the wind noise. A bit of a long video but quite a short walk only 2.5 miles, exploring countryside footpaths that I have never been down before and I discovered an old ruined farmhouse, what a find!!!

Do Something That Scares You!

Don't let fear paralyze you. The scariest paths often lead you to the most exciting places. I sit on an old stile, listening to the town hall clock chime as I soak in the pleasant sunshine. It's not until I enter the woods that something overwhelmes me; being alone, in a wood, I feel eyes upon me, I know it's psychological, I have heard about those stealth campers who hide in the undergrowth. ;-) alas they are very nice people, but some people aren't and I hope I don't bump into a chav with a devil dog. I enter an old abandoned graveyard that is completely overgrown with weeds, only the eyes of the dead will be upon me in here. I walk down a hill, I find the ruins of old 18th century mill workers cottages, what still remains pokes out of the undergrowth. Then to the deepest part of the wood.. who knows what's lurks down there..

You don't have to go far from home to find a really nice spot. Quiet country lane. 

I absolutely love going off on my own, I prefer it, you have nobody to answer to, its liberating.  People just stress me out, time on your own is very good.
